Artist Statement

For me I see the world has a frame around it ~ I compulsively choose boundaries, shapes and colors ~ judging everything by how strongly it demands to be painted.

Drawn by light and shadows on subjects and reflections in water, I endlessly experiment with scenes ~ from my home in South Florida  ~ from the Southwest where light and shadow are so captivating ~ and from Europe where inspiration is abundant.

Using vibrant colors and an impressionistic style to stimulate excitement, I interpret shapes and patterns with watercolors and oil.
